Issue reason: Sergeant Lainer does a consistent fine job with any kit he is assigned and is first to man statics and have much success with the big guns. He did an extraordinary job during the Battle of Flooded Wadi.

Issue reason: Lainer did not want to lead, but when called on to do so he did. For this the 85th Ski-Bunnies and Kampfgruppe "Erzengel" recognize him. His support was critical during several battles.

The Order of the Cross of Liberty has 7 classes, each awarded separately unlike the medals in the Order of the Lion. The medals are named after famous battles or events in the war. The medals in the Order are awarded for bravery or merit on the battlefield.

Issue reason: Lainer proved invaluable at Caumont through his uncanny ability to clear out the Cathedral tower (and kill some SL's in the process), as well as being able to single-handedly capture the Caumont flag, giving us valuable moments of bleed time.
